Why Cookstown

Cookstown, the retail capital of Mid Ulster, is located a few miles west of Lough Neagh and just south of the Sperrins. The Chamber of Commerce and Council have been working continually to develop the shopping attractiveness of the town. It is considered to have the widest, longest street in Ireland and has been attracting some of the best shops. These are not only the usual multiples but many family run businesses to give a greater variety of shopping in a small easily walkable area.

There is free on and off street parking .

Cookstown Chamber of Commerce has been in existence since 1974. In all that time the organisation has been promoting the town and the wider area. At present the Town Centre Forum, under the auspices of Cookstown District Council, has been using available grant funding to progress this aspiration. The Chamber has good representation on this Forum and works in partnership with it to their mutual advantage.

The Chamber is also a great networking organisation which encourages people from all aspects of business to interact with each other..
